Comic showing a home for sale by AI

Recently, an AI REALTOR closed 100 million dollars in sales. This is shocking to some but not surprising when AI can answer inquiries 24/7, provide real-time market updates, and guide virtual property tours while keeping it’s cool no matter how many property questions you ask. The interaction also performs like a human and is always polite. Shoot, AI helped write some of this post.

AI is not going anywhere, but there will never be a substitute for human interaction, emotional intelligence, and true care. AI will replace the mediocre and those unwilling to adapt and add more value for their clients, but it will also become a tool that the top agents will use to their advantage to add more value.

This is an opportunity for agents to connect with clients, recognize their goals, and genuinely operate in their best interest based on their years of real-world experience that machine learning cannot replace…yet.

Buying or selling a home is deeply personal and often emotional. It’s not just about the property—it’s about hopes for the future, meaningful life moments, and finding a place to belong truly. While AI can provide facts and figures, it can’t offer the empathy, understanding, or guidance clients need when facing tough choices.

Data is helpful, but it can’t replace the human touch needed during sensitive negotiations. Whether it’s easing a buyer’s nerves, working through a competitive offer, or understanding a seller’s motivations, success in real estate often comes down to intuition and experience—not algorithms.

Real estate is built on trust and connection. Most people don’t want to make one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives based on automated suggestions. They want someone they can rely on—someone who listens, understands, and puts their best interests first.

All in all, AI will replace some things and help others to thrive, similar to what electricity and computers did for industry in the past.
